- The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) officially released the 9th edition of the Diabetes Atlas, an epidemiological report
  containing detailed global diabetes status.

- According to this report as of 2019 year, one in 11 adults aged 20 to 79 years old (about 463 million people) were estimated to have
  diabetes and there were 136 million people with diabetes over the age of 65 that is 1 in 5 elderly people had diabetes.

- Moreover, 1.1 million children and adolescents under the age of 20 are struggling against the type 1 diabetes.

- In 2000, the estimated number of adult diabetics was only 151 million, but the number of diabetic patients increased by 88%
  until 2009, and is expected to reach 700 million by 2045.

- One in two diabetic patients (about 232 million peoples) have not yet been diagnosed with diabetes, and more than three out of
  four of diabetes patients are low-income and live in developing countries.

- It is estimated that in 2019 alone, about 4.2 million adults will die as a result of diabetes and its complications.
  This is equivalent to the death every 8 seconds.
  The 11.3% of global mortality rates are due to diabetes. Half of these deaths were under the age of 60.

- IDF predicted that by 2045, the number of patients on each continent will increase from a minimum of 15% to a maximum of 143%.

- In addition, IDF presumed the global annual health burdened cost of diabetes at $760 billion, and these direct expenses are expected
  to reach USD 825 billion by 2030 and 845 billion USD by 2045.
